CORAL GABLES, FL – October 16, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –

From a single South Florida office to serving families across Central Florida and the Treasure Coast, the family law firm celebrates 18 years of growth, courtroom advocacy, and a commitment to doing things differently.

Eighteen years. Thousands of legal challenges. More courtroom appearances than founder Manuel A. Segarra, III, Esq., probably cares to count.

And one philosophy that hasn’t changed is they know their clients and their cases. They tell people the truth. And they are prepared when it’s time to walk into a courtroom.

On September 22, 2026, Segarra & Associates, P.A. celebrated its 18th anniversary, marking nearly two decades of representing Florida families through divorces, parenting disputes, complicated financial matters, and some of life’s most difficult transitions.

Founded in 2008 as a single-office family law practice in South Florida, the firm has since expanded its reach into Central Florida and, most recently, Florida’s Treasure Coast.

For Segarra, a former Miami-Dade prosecutor who has now practiced law for 26 years, the anniversary is as much about the people behind the firm as it is about its growth.

“When I opened this firm 18 years ago, I had a vision, a lot of determination, and absolutely no idea how many late nights were ahead of me,” Segarra joked. “But I knew the kind of firm I wanted to build. One where clients weren’t just file numbers, where we told people what they needed to hear, not necessarily what they wanted to hear, and where we were never afraid to try a case when the circumstances demanded it.”

Segarra & Associates concentrates its practice on Florida family law, representing clients in divorce, parental responsibility and time-sharing disputes, relocation cases, alimony and child support matters, complex financial litigation, annulment, and post-judgment proceedings.

The firm also assists clients with prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, mediation, and negotiated resolutions.

But Segarra is quick to point out that being a strong litigator does not mean every case should become a fight.

“After 26 years practicing law, I’ve learned that sometimes the best way to settle a case is to be completely prepared to try it,” Segarra explained. “Not every divorce needs a war. But when the other side leaves you no reasonable alternative, you’d better know your way around a courtroom.”

That approach has remained central to the firm’s identity as its geographic footprint has expanded.

With offices serving Coral Gables, Orlando, and the Treasure Coast, Segarra & Associates continues to expand its presence while maintaining its focus on personal relationships and hands-on representation.

For Segarra, who now calls the Treasure Coast home, the firm’s latest expansion is particularly meaningful.

“We’re growing, and that’s exciting. But I’ve never been interested in building a giant law firm where clients become file numbers,” Segarra said. “I want us to know our clients, understand what’s at stake, and give them a strategy that actually makes sense for their circumstances. That’s how we started, and that’s how I intend for us to continue.”

Segarra also credits the firm’s attorneys and staff for making that growth possible.

“You don’t build something that lasts 18 years by yourself. We’ve been fortunate to have people on this team who genuinely care about our clients and take pride in their work. I’m incredibly grateful for that.”

As Segarra & Associates enters its 19th year, the firm is looking ahead to continued growth, expanded educational resources, and new ways to help Floridians better understand the family court process, including through its YouTube channel, The Divorce Broadcast.

And while 18 years is certainly worth celebrating, Segarra isn’t spending much time looking backward.

“Eighteen years is a milestone, but it’s definitely not the finish line,” he said. “We’ve built something special, and I believe our best years are still ahead of us. We’re just getting started.”
